Also from Ohio, we run OARRS prior to every visit for every patient.

NY, CT, NJ, & VT are now (for about two months) all accessible from one site, which is called I-STOP (eye-stop) in New York State.

I use Michigan's PDMP (MAPS) on every patient intake, I then ask the patient about their prescription history to see how honest they are. It no longer surprises me when they aren't truthful.

I'm in Ohio and I look up on OARRS every new patient prior to scheduling their first appointment. Then I can discuss any issues before the first appointment. Also, it is reviewed day before each visit.

I am not in California, but I use the CDS prescription look-up program in my state with every patient. You would be surprised the things that they "forget" to tell you about.....
