I know it is true for Zubsolv, and I know Suboxone has serial numbers on it, they should be sequential in a pill/film count

I remember hearing or reading that the QR or barcodes printed on the Suboxone wrappers provides an easy way to track them back to the patient and therefore reduces trading and diversion.

Is this true? Is it a hassle?

My phone can read the barcode on a wrapper but not the small QR code. It just produces a meaningless (to me) long number.

the only way to track them is to have the patient bring in the strips after they receive them, you record all the numbers and then if you do a pill count later, you can compare them....the pharmacies don't track them...
