The recommended maximum dose for ibuprofen is 2400 mg, not 3200 mg, and that would be for "healthy subjects".

I have used that regimin for two patients who had full mouth extractions very successfully.

This is very helpful. Thanks. I also educate patients that opioids have both an analgesic (pain killing) and euphoric (high feeling) effect. They are used to experiencing both together and therefore when they don't experience the euphoria there is a tendency to think the medication is "not working". Tylenol and nsaids are analgesics without euphoria but they are very effective analgesics and once you get used to not getting euphoria pain control is actually equivalent
