That sounds like my experience too. No deaths due to bupe alone. Discharging a patient without a very good reason may be a death sentence to that person, because they are likely to go back to street drugs.

I would hope crmark could find better references than the Knoxville News Sentinel. One of the references above was about a mother murdering her infant. The other may have been an accidental child overdose. It may be true that bupe can kill children without the presence of other drugs, but I have yet...

I used to be a freelance writer for a local big city newspaper. I learned a journalist's ethics are a far cry from a physician's ethics. Journalists make money by creative writing, not reporting the truth and nothing but the truth.

A negative urine screen makes it looks like he was lying about using opiates. Did he have symptoms of withdrawal? His surprise at hearing he had to provide a urine sample also is suspicious. This sentence could be ONLY pain management or ALSO pain management. The fact that the dose is much smaller than what they use for Bunavail for addic...

I just read a report of Belbuca on Medscape that indeed said it was indicated for chronic pain and there was no mention of treatment for addiction.

The federal government is not really interested in helping its citizens. It is primarily devoted to its self-interest, retaining its power, and remaining as our rulers, not as our representatives. There is considerable profit in the illegal drug trade, which is why the ineffective War on Drugs will ...

tstinson, I agree with you that bup is enough to get rid of all other drugs used. But the ones who choose methadone will still want that until they get tired of being high all the time. Bup is the only drug that makes addicts feel normal, not high. I too doubt that the patient limit will be raised, ...
