That's why I only order the strips and do wrapper counts each visit. I know there are ways to circumvent that, but I don't make it easy. Of course, I am a bit of a hardliner.

I don't go higher than 12mg, and 90% of my patients are on 8mg or less. I remember something from the RB rep about the dose-response curve dropping off significantly after 8mg.

Heaven help us if they pass the bill which allows NP's and PA's to prescribe bup. The quality of care will plummet, like it has in other areas of medicine where they are allowed to practice.

Now that the ASAM/ABAM has excluded Osteopathic Physicians from their Board Certification (unless they have taken Allopathic residencies) there is no channel for DO's to get certified in Addiction Medicine! This was an appalling decision taken by our "mother" organization.
