Registration for the SAMHSA Buprenorphine Clinical Discussion WebBoard is open to physicians holding waivers from SAMHSA to practice opioid addiction treatment under the authority of the Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 (DATA).

The SAMHSA Buprenorphine Clinical Discussion WebBoard is a forum for physicians holding waivers under the authority of the Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 to discuss the clinical use of buprenorphine in the treatment of opioid addiction and related issues. This is not a forum to solicit group advice for purposes of advising SAMHSA or any other Federal agency.

Opinions expressed in messages posted to the WebBoard are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the views of SAMHSA. SAMHSA assumes no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of any message posted to the board. Such responsibility is the sole responsibility of the person who sent the message. Note also that all messages sent and/or posted to the WebBoard will be subject to public disclosure pursuant to Freedom of Information Act requests, unless the messages fall within an exemption under that Act.

SAMHSA personnel will screen all messages for content not related to the primary purpose of the Board and for individually identifiable health information. Message authors will be notified by SAMHSA if a message will not be posted to the Board. Users who feel that a posted message is objectionable are encouraged to contact us immediately by e-mail at info@buprenorphine.samhsa.gov. If we determine that removal is necessary, we will make every effort to remove objectionable messages within a reasonable time frame. SAMHSA may, from time to time, provide a summary of the WebBoard messages in which author names and other identifying information have been removed on a public Web site or other media.
